it girl: edie sedgwick

a few days ago i watched 'factory girl', a movie that follows the life of edie sedgwick, an it girl in nineteen sixties america, during her time spent as andy warhol's muse. the film is fun and vibrant, yet, as most stories about party girls do, it had a very sad ending. nonetheless i find myself admiring edie's iconic look, her elusive persona, and how she was always accessorised with thick lashes, huge earrings, and a cigarette. the role of edie is portrayed by sienna miller, i think she really captured her essence, and looks just like her. i'm loving her style and find myself yearning for a fur coat.
