i'm not one for pastel colours, but i've really been loving blush tones lately, particularly for spring. the soft, subdued hue can breath a classic, sophisticated air. and there are many different tones, suited to any skin tone. nude and blush tones are a favourite of kim kardashian's, and perhaps, now mine too.

i feel like this trend goes hand-in-hand with the off the shoulder style. both are perfect for summer. the soft, floaty, bohemian vibe of peasant-style blouses and dresses just breathes summer. and there are many different versions of this style, whether you prefer the traditional colourful embroidery, or a more subdued take.

off the shoulder

as it is now spring and the weather is staring to warm up, it seems like an appropriate time to try out an off the shoulder look. i'm really loving the feminine, subtly sexy vibe of an off the shoulder top or dress, as well as the air of an exotic vacation. i've even made an off the shoulder top for my latest assignment, i hope to post pictures soon.

getting back to my school days. not only are they practical, backpacks can add a cute yet stylish feel to your outfit. recently i bought a little croc-embosed, black backpack and i love sporty-preppy vibe it gives, not to mention how much more comfortable it is to carry.

currently craving: denim dresses

the weather lately has been lovely and sunny, and i find myself actually looking forward to summer, for a change. recently, i've been seeing quite a few denim dresses around, in stores or on the streets. i think a cute denim dress would make a perfect outfit for the warmer months.
